Indications are for fair to cloudy weather with scattered showers and light north-easterly winds prevailing. The Rainfall Rainfall for 24 hours ended 9 o’clock this morning .00in. Rainfall for previous 2 4 hours. .0 4 in. Rainfall for January 'to date, 3.60in. Average rainfall for January, 3.12in. Rainfall for year to date, 3.60in. Average yearly rainfall, 46.32in. BPECIAL FORECAST (By Govt. Meteorologist). The special forecast% by the Government Meteorologist covering the WaikatoTharncs Valley is as follows: Forecast: Light to moderate but freshening northerly winds, weather fair to cloudy and warm, seas slight to moderate. General Inference: An anticyclone still covers the Dominion, but its centre is to the cast and a rather deep westerly .impression is advancing across the south Tasman Sea.
