PORT WAIKATO CAMP
DISTINGUISHED VISITORS A visit of inspection was paid to the Port Waikato camp to-day by three distinguished visitors—Major-General Sir George Richardson, chairman of the Auckland Central Council of the National Health Camp Organisation: Mrs B. J. Me Kendrick, honorary secretary to the Auckland Central Council, and the Rev. Averill Orr, of the Auckland City Central Mission Camp. Though there were heavy showers at the camp yesterday, the weather is much improved, according to advice received in Hamilton to-day and the visitors saw the camp at its best. The children's sports, which commenced yesterday, but which were somewhat marred by the rain, were continued to-day. All the campers are fit and well and ready for the beginning of the school year. The children will return to Hamilton on Monday.
