Min. Wednesday 92 60 Thursday 85 64 Mean Temperature, 79.5 deg. The barometer reads 29.95 and has a falling tendency. The indications are for cloudy and unsettled weather to-day and to-morrow, with high temperatures. North-easterly winds prevailing. Rain following. The Rainfall Rainfall for 24 hours ended 9 o’clock this morning, .OOin. Rainfall for previous 24 hours, .OOin. Rainfall for December to date, 2.84in. Average rainfall for December, 3.88in. Rainfall for year to date, 42.42in. Average yearly rainfall, 46.32in. SPECIAL FORECAST. (By Govt. Meteorologist), j The special forecast by the Government Meteorologist covering tbe WaikatoThames Valley Is as follows: Forecast: Light to moderate north-easterly winds, freshening in places. Weather cloudy to overcast, with scattered rains, later becoming more general. Temperatures warm. Seas moderate to rather rough. General Inference: The tropical cyclone has to a large extent filled up, and is now centred west of Gape Maria Van Diemen. A shallow depression crossed the South Island last night.
