CURRENT PROGRAMME ROXY THEATRE “Camille" was a great stage success for many years, and It has been brought to the screen with greater appeal. The story is that of a woman who fell in love with a clashing youth. She was a woman of the world, intending to lavish her charms on the wealthy Baron de Varville, when she met Arrnand Duval. The story of their love that was stronger than destiny, weaker only than death itself, brings Garbo to the screen In her greatest role and offers Robert Taylor the most powerful part he has yet portrayed. The trouble a man’s soldier’s bonus got him into is hilariously portrayed in ‘ Let’s Make a Million," a gay comedy. As the leading character, Edward l'.verett Horton wanted to use the money to marry nis secretary (Charlotte Wynters), but his two maiden aunts played by "the Pixilated Sis'ters,” Margaret Seddon and Margaret MoWade) have notions of their own as to how the money is to be spent, and when the two opinions clash the fun begins. REGENT THEATRE The charm and vivacity of Deanna Durbin are with her again in her new picture, "One Hundred Men and a Girl." The girl who can sing gloriously Mozart's "Allelujah” and "The Drinking Song" from "La Travlata" Is also a merry little rogue with a feather in her hat who crashes her way into the hearts of all. The personality of a conductor is also a live wire between him and the millions ot people—musical and unmusical—who see a picture like "One Hundred Men and a Girl.” Among conductors Leopold Stokowski is as striking a personality as Is Deanna Durbin among screen artists. The Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra Is magnificent. Adolphe Menjou is an actor of personality and he has a role, as the girl's father, peculiarly fitting to Ills gifts. LAUREL AND HARDY The popular comedians Laurel and Hardy will be seen to-morrow in their latest oomedy, "Way Out West.” THEATRE ROYAL * Gene Garrard, Amy Veness, Jimmy Godden and Molly Lamont have full soope for their comedy gifts in “My wife’s Family.” The plot Is concerned with the feud between Jack Gay and his interfering mother-in-law ,—in fact Arabella is the most complete mother-in-law ever achieved on stage or screen. She Is suspicious, interfering, sarcastic, narrow minded, bossy and unbeautiful. She says and does all the things that have made mothers-in-law a stock Joke. Her son-in-law, however, after his efforts to appease her ill-nature have failed and she has destroyed the happiness of his home, Anally retaliates, with the most hilarious results. rTHE MAN WHO CRIED WOLF” "The Man Who Cried Wolf,” which will head to-morrow's programme, Is a very exoiting drama featuring Lewis Stone, Barbara Read and Tom Brown. BTATE THEATRE “Parts In Spring** is a mixture of laughter anil songs woven about a romantic story. They are two people who love each other very dearly, but who Just won’t admit it. Rather than commit suicide, they decide to combine forces and make their respective sweethearts furiously jealous. This they succeed in doing, with dramatic results. "The Public Menace" combines thrills, romance and humour very effectively. Jean Parker gives a fine performance and George Murphy lends to his role of a hard-boiled newspaper man a freshness that radiates from the screen.
