OBITUARY

MR H. G. GILLESPIE (Special to Times) AUCKLAND, Wednesday Well-known in Auckland and Thames as a sharebroker. Mr Henry Gibbons Gillespie, died at his home in Mount Eden last, evening. Born in Thames. Mr Gillespie was admitted to the Thames Stock Exchange at the age of 22. \l the time of the Waiotahi boom, about 1906, Mr Gillespie was joined by Mr P. M. Thomson, who conducted the Auckland business of the firm. About, 1913 Mr Gillespie came lo Auckland and. following Ihe retirement of Mr Thomson, was joined by his brother. Mr Gillespie has been a member of the Auckland Stock Exchange committee and the executive of Ihc New Zealand Stork Exchange Association. Mrs F. A Swai briek. of Hamilton, is a sister and the late Mr W. It. Gillespie, who I,night at To Kowhai School, was u brother.
