The energetic, secretary upon whom the bulk of the organising work falls is Mr W. L. Ranstead and this is the third Waikato Show at which he has officiated in this position. The success of this year’s exhibition again is a tribute to his ability but it is only to be expected as he has brought to the position a wealth of experience. For the past 30 years he has been a farmer and exhibiting at various shows, while he has also been steward and judge. Thus he has gained a valuable insight into the requirements of the exhibitors and public. His flair for providing first-class entertainment for the general public will be appreciated to-morrow when an excellent programme will be provided for People’s Day.
