The New Zealanders won by five goals to one. Their forwards exploited flick and scoop shots throughout, and their methods were successful on the heavy ground. Houghton and Duffield penetrated the defence easily. Hall, the Western Australian goalie, saved many goals with great kicks. Clark and Mahoney, New Zealand backs, held the opposing attack with ease. Clark was outstanding for New Zealand. The scorers were; New Zealand; Dulfield two; Roughton, three. Queensland, witn an undefeated record, won the Australian championship.
