COLLAPSE OF BUILDING.

About 20 people were killed and three seriously injured, following the collapse of a high wooden dwelling on a hillside. The foundations were undemined by a flooded sewer, following a thunderstorm, which backed up eight feet of water against the building. The occupants sensed disaster, but were unable to quit the building, and called for the police rescue squad. A policeman entered by means of a ladder, but immediately afterwards the structure collapsed.
