Next to I that she wanted to see the Pilgrimage i Play, and when she arrived in Los £ Angeles on probably the only trip she will make to the United States she met with disappointment. She discovered to her discomfiture that the play did not open in Los Angeles until three days after her steamer was due to sail for her home in New Zealand. She related her predicament to Ruthe (Keane, director of the All-Year Club’s new tourist in- i formation bureau, and Miss Keane t called Lloyd Mitchell, the general 1 manager of the play. t “Couldn’t something be done?” she ? asked.
