RUBBER WON. SPRINGBOKS’ VICTORY. AUSTRALIA WELL BEATEN. SYDNEY, Saturday. With the day made to order and *he conditions ideal the touring Springboks showed their paces to-day when they played really brilliant football to defeat Australia by 26 points to 17. Australia were beatevi jn the first Test by the visitors by nine points to five. To-day the Springboks started off with a rattle, scoring within a minute when the forwards wheeled the scrum over* the line, and from then to the half-time they piled on points with excellent football, throwing the ball about in fine style. They changed direction on attack frequently and had Australia well on the run. The visitors had all the better of the play and when half-time was called they had scored six tries, four of which Brand converted, to one try and a free kick by Australia.
