DETENTION FOR SECRETARY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Friday. Sentenoe of twelve months’ reformative detention was imposed by Mr Justice Fair in the Supreme Court today on Charles Gordon Lindsay for the theft of £6O while secretary of the Auckland Drivers and Related Trades Union to which charge he pleaded guilty. Accused was not represented by counsel and had nothing to say. His Honour said the prisoner had a previous conviction for theft In 1928 but in vie\v_of the long period which had since elapsed he would not take that into account.
