SUPPORT OF FARMERS’ UNION. NATIONAL CURRENCY CONTROL. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Friday. Among the policy points adopted by the Farmers' Union are Iho following : That except with regard to lands held for specific. purposes, the. holder shall be entitled to acquire the freehold from the Slate under fair and reasonable conditions. That the union strongly supports the national health insurance scheme and flic Universal National Provident Fund and approves the control of the issue and withdrawal of currency by a national AjjUo-o-ii v free of political control.
