OLEARINQ BALE AT WAERENGA. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report having held a clearing sale at Waerenga yesterday on account of Mr W. J. Jefferie. The advertised herd of mostly Shorthorn cows came forward in fairly low condition, but competition throughout was keen, resulting in a total clearance. Jersey cows were In keen demand, selling at values on a par with late clearing sale rates. Realisations were: Good Shorthorn oows, 2nd. calvers, £8 15s to £9 ss; Shorthorn cross cows, £7 10s to £8 ss; backward Shorthorn, £6 to £7 ss; good quality Jersey cross, £8 5s to £9 ss; later calvers, £7 5s to £8; backward, £5 10s to £6; inferior sorts, £3 10s to £4 10s; Shorthorn cows in milk, £5 to £6 10s; good quality Shorthorn heifers, August calvers, £6 5s to £7 12s 6d; good quality Jersey heifers, August calvers, £5 2s 6d to £6; three-year Shorthorn herd bull, £lO 10s.
