Hotel Employees.—A difference of 2s Gd a week between tho wage claims of Ihe workers and the offers of the men I, in the licensed hot el employees’ dispute in Conciliation Council at Wellington yesterday. The parties agreed on a 40-hour week, to be spread over five and a-ltalf days’ work, Ihe hours oil Ihe half-holiday not to he more than four. Wherever practicable the employers undertook to work a flve-dav week. The cm in wages for the general staff and 5 per cent, increase for porters. A to per cent, increase was offered male kitchen workers, to make I heir wages £2 12s Gd. The workers agreed to Ihe oilier proposals, lull considered that Miehenmen’s wages should bu £2 15*.
