HOCKEY PROSPECTS.
MATCHES TO-MORROW. „ COLTS MEET TOKOMARU. As tlie competition leaders, Colts and Ivaipaki will be engaged in the senior hockey matches -set down for to-morrow at Steele Park, some fast play should be seen, as both teams have been playing a high standard of hockey in recent matches. Colts will he opposed by Tokomaru, and in view of recent form the former will be favoured in to-morrow’s match, but Tokomaru this season have demonstrated their ability to spring a surprise. Kaipaki. who share ihe lead in the competition With Colts, will have a harder game in their match with Aofea. Aden can he relied upon to provide a fast encounter. On hard ground to-day the New Zealand hockey team, in its second country game, defeated Bathurst by one goal to nil. The play was very even. Duffield scored for New Zealand early in the first spell. Robertson, Wilson and Clark shaped well for the visitors. This was the third match of the tour. The remaining match this week will be against Newcastle to-morrow.
