MARKET STEADY.
PRODUCE IN HAMILTON. FEW ALTERATIONS NOTED. There were few price alterations on the Hamilton produce market this week and the buoyant demand evident for all lines last week was well maintained. In the vegetable section cauliflowers were in short supply and values hardened. Onions have shown a marked advance, with best entries •selling to IBs per cwt. A shipment of oranges from Norfolk Island will be on offer to-morrow and the demand for these is likely to lie good. Similar competition is anticipated for a line of Fiji bananas which will also be auctioned to-morrow. Apples are slightly scarcer and all -supplies are now being drawn from cool store. The condition of all grades is excellent. Quotations — Apples—Delicious, ex cooler, 8s Gd to 8s Pd; Winesap, 7s to 9s; Ballarat, 8s Gd to 9s.
