The holder of the license for IZJ, Auckland, has j stated definitely that he does not dej sire to sell; the licensee of 4ZB, j Dunedin, has expressed satisfaction J was no desire to relinquish control. S Since the establishment, however, this station had been managed and controlled by a body of amateurs, who naturally are anxious to continue 1 | operations, and the Government does not desire to prevent their so doing. I The Minister indicates that with * regard to the remaining five it ap- ; j pears the only stumbling block is the purchase prices. Correspondence fs ; ■ still being maintained with those > I stations, namely: 2ZL. Hastings; 2ZM, , j Gisborne; 2ZO, Palmerston North; . | 4ZM. Dunedin; and 4ZC, Cromwell. ! There was justification for believing • | that most of these stations are pre- . pared to have the, mailer finally rie- | cided by arbitral ion and that it is nowonly a question of arranging the order °f preference.
