Princess Elizabeth is to join as a Girl Guide, and Princess Margaret as a Brownie, a new company of Girl Guides which is being formed among their friends and daughters of regular visitors to Buckingham Palace. Lord Baden-Powell, in a broadcast to-day to (he Empire scouts, read a message from tiie King stating that the Queen and he were most interested to learn of the home rallies and camp fires which Boy Scouts had organised to-day throughout the Empire to celebrate the Coronation.
The message added that Their Majesties were very grateful for the Boy Scouts’ loyal good wishes and kind thoughts, and hoped that they would have a happy evening which would remind them of the occasion in future years.
