LESSON TO GERMANY
“WE SHALL NEVER FORGET.” WILL TAKE SECURITY INTO OWN HANDS ALLEGED FAILURE OF POWERS’ COLLECTIVE METHODS (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright.) (Received June 28, 11 a.m.) WURZBURG (Bavaria), June 27. Herr Hitler, addressing 200,000 Nazis, said he was always ready to make an experiment. He referred to the London Control Commission, saying that when an attack was made against the German cruiser Leipzig Germany expected to see the functioning of international solidarity and demanded a joint demonstration. The result proved to Germany what to expect if she entrusted her fate to international debates.
“The experience we had in London is a lesson we shall never forget,” said Herr Hitler. “We shall take our security into our own hands. Thank God, we are strong enough to protect ourselves. We have given collective methods a chance, and none can say that we have not shown goodwill.”
