SCHOOL SPORTS.
CAMBRIDGE BEAT PUTARURU. FOOTBALL AND BASKETBALL. (Special to Times.) PUTARURU, Sunday. Inter-school Rugby and basketball was played between teams from the Putaruru District High School and the Cambridge District High School yesterday, and In both sports the Cambridge teams were successful, winning the rootball by 17 points to 5, and the basketball by 12 goals to 7. The rootball was Interesting and the play was evenly matched until the concluding stages when Cambridge set a pace which was too solid for the home nrteen, and scored Mreo times in rapid succession. The only try Tor Putaruru was scored by J. Small.
