DISMISSED ACTORS.
BERNARD SHAW’S CRITICISM. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. NEW YORK, June 24. Mr Bernard Shaw has sent the following cablegram to the theatrical projects branch of the Works Progress Administration, from which 2818 members of the personnel have been dismissed by the Federal Government:— “ Of course the first thing the Government curtails is American culture. Congress needs a drastic lynching. Those who vote' for barbarism should perish by It.”
