THE EAGLE. He clasps. Ihe craw with crooked hands; Close to Ihe sun in lonely lands. Hing'd with the asure world, he stands. We have heaped her heart on a golden pyre; All her beauty and all her bloom Are a trail of smoke in a thin blue spire. And ashes scattered amonc the mire. All the pride of her rich array Is Hung lo Ihe gathering winds today. And so Hie will remember and some Autumn fire I” LILY POOL. Last nigh I I looked out of my window, lily pool. I saw you lying there in the heart of the night. So quiet and cool. And I saw you had stolen mil or the sky. A star lo wear In Ihe dim heart or vou. as vou dreamed So quietly there.
