Y.M.C.A.’S DEBT.

OANVABB FOR DONATIONS. ONE MORE MONTH REMAINS. “ I want to make it clear that in this oampaign to liquidate the debts of the Hamilton Y.M.C.A., the full sum of £4OOO, plus a sustaining membership of £SOO a year, must be raised or otherwise the institution will be forced to close,” 'Stateidi iMr. D. V. Bryant, C.M.G., the organiser of the campaign, to a Waikato Times reporter to-day. In tracing the inauguration of the campaign, Mr. Bryant said that the Y.M.C.A. had received notice from the mortgagee that the debt had to be. paid off by the end of June, and to date the fund had reached £2602 19s, while the committee of Hamilton citizens had obtained a sustaining membership of £250. 11 ! consider that *£ a town of the size of Hamilton, in such a rich district, and with such possibilities for expansion, the closing of the Y.M.C.A. would be nothing short of a calamity,” added Mr. Bryant.
