TE PAHU DANCE.

ENJOYABLE FUNCTION. A most enjoyable dance was held In the Te Pahu Hall on Wednesday evening In honour of Miss M. Strong, whose marriage will take place shortly. There was a large attendance, visitors being present from Whatawhata, Te Rore, Ngahinapouri and Pirongia. Excellent dance music was played by Mrs F. Rothwell and Mr Marsh was M.C.

Supper wae served In the supper room, the tables being attraotively decorated with flowers and autumn leaves.

After supper Mr Arthur asked Miss Strong to accept, on behalf of the residents, a dinner service, and Mr Simmons, on behalf of the football club, a set of goblets and water jug. Mr W. Charleston suitably replied. Novelty dances were won by Mrs Shaw and partner and Mrs (Hopping and partner.

At the conclusion of the dance the guests of honour were showered with flowers and accorded musloal honours.
