Farewell to F>,sslan Ballet. The Russian Ballet will close a successful season at Dunedin to-night and will return to Australia next week. Ttie New Zealand tour was as successful financially as I* was artistically. The Hamilton audience was one oi the largest of the tour, the theatre. It will be remembered, being practically booked out. i Gladys Moncrieff as “Katja.” To-night “Katja the Dancer” will succeed "The Maid of the Mountain*’* in Sydney, with Gladys Moncrieff in the title role. Former Hamiltonian In Sydney. Leo Foster, formerly of Hamilton, continues to get broadcasting engagements in Sydney. He sang the baritone lead opposite Diane du Cane in “The Gay Deceivers” recently, and last Thursday night took itie lead in another musical comedy. He has also sung several times, with Wurlitzer accompaniment, from one of the commercial stations. Sydney Farowells Favourites. Marie la Varre. wnose gift for comedy has been a feature of many musical comedy productions in Australia and New Zealand, sailed from Sydney for London by the Strathaird on Saturday.
