The Sheffield Shield cricket match between South Australia and New South Wales was continued at Sydney to-day. South Australia scored 270 in the first innings (Badcock 136). Lush took three wickets for 7 and O’Reilly four for 40.
New South Wales, with 355 to its credit in the first innings, made 242 (McCabe 68, Jackson 32, Barnes 44, Lush 40 not out). Grimmett took four wickets for 71, Cotton two for 45, and Williams two for 62.
South Australia, which requires 328 to win, had lost one' wicket for 39 runs when stumps were drawn.
