RECORD TURNOVER AT TE RAPA. MACHINES HANDLE £76,613* INTERESTING COMPARISONS. Record totalisator figures for Te Rapa were established over Saturday and 'Monday, yesterday’s turnover of £31,980 10s, bringing the total for the meeting up to £76,613 10s, a figure £4693 in excess of the recent November fixture. Yesterday the machines handled £31,980 10s compared with £22,964 10s- on the corresponding day last season, an increase of £9016. This brought the total to £76,613 10s, an increase of £24,822 10s on last year when £51,791 was put through. The following table shows the comparison of the amounts Invested on the various events yesterday compared with last season’s corresponding races:—

INOREASE IN GATES. A TOTAL OF £1229. 'Gate takings over the two days ot the Waikato meeting amounted to £1229, an increase on last year ot £385. On the first day £856 was handled at the turnstiles as against £560 on the first day last year, while yesterday £373 was handled compared with £284 on the corresponding day last season. At the November meeting the gates totalled £l2l5 —£852 is on the first day and £373 on the second.
