TWENTY SHEEP KILLED.

FLOCK STRUCK BY LORRY. WHATAWHATA ROAD MISHAP. Serious loss was suffered to a fiock of sheep which were being driven to the Frankton saleyards from Whatawhata to-day when a lorry crashed into them, killing 20 and injuring many others. Tliq sheep, which were for the store sale id-morrow, were two-tooth ewes and. in view of the exceptional demand existing for this class, the casualties would, at a conservative estimate, he worth £4O. As some of those maimed may have to be destroyed the loss is a considerable one. The driver of the lorry was later arrested and will appear in the Police Court to-morrow.
