GENERAL’S LEG AMPUTATED. 2000 NATIVES ARRESTED. RESTORATION OF TRANQUILITY United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright (Received Feb. 22, 3.15 p.m.) ROME, Feb. 21. General Liotta, who was wounded in a flash with Abyssinians, has had his leg amputated and his condition is satisfactory.
Professor Cesare Antonucci, who flew from Rome with Dr. Giovanni Barbera, performed the operation. The others who were slightly wounded are improving rapidly.
Two thousand Abyssinians have been arrested.
A communique declares that tranquility has been restored throughout Abyssinia.
