OBITUARY.

MR ARCHIBALD DELLAWAY. The death occurred In Hamilton on Saturday of Mr Archibald Dellaway alter a brief illness. Born 61 years ago in New South Wales, Mr Dellawav came to the Dominion 40 years ago, settling in Denniston where he followed the occupation of a miner. About eleven years ago, he settled in Glen Afton, removing from there two years later to Frankton. The deceased took a great interest in sport, especially in football and boxing and he retained this interest until his death. Mr Dellaway was one of the early stalwarts or the Federation of Labour and was a keen unionist. He is survived by a widow and four sons, Messrs Alfred Dellaway, Archibald Dellaway (Wellington), Thomas Dellaway (Denntston) and Frederick Dellaway (Frankton) and two daughters, Mesdames T. Curragh and R. Cook (Frankton).

MRS ELIZABETH BEBT.

The death occurred at Rototuna yesterday of Mrs Elizabeth Best, wife of the late Mr George John Best, aged

Mrs Best was born In Wellington, where she lived for 50 years. She was married in Wellington in 1884, her husband being a farmer in the Wellington district. The family later moved to Danncvirke, where Mr Best was farming for 12 years. Mrs Rest and her husband then went to Rototuna, where deceased had since lived. She had been a staunch supporter of ttie Brethren denomination for the past 20 years. Mrs Best is survived by five sons and three daughters. They are:— Messrs G. Best. E. Best (Rototuna), W. Best (T&uhel . H. Best Maimganui) and A. Best (Sydney) ami Mcsdames A. W. Turvey (Danncvirke) E. Richards [Rototuna) and Miss E. Best (Rototuna).
