The disclosure followed the discovery that a prisoner was missing from his cell late at night. He returned :11 5 am. The man in question is serving :1 long term. llis privileges Included an unlocked cell at nights because he stayed up after the warders were In bed laying Ih-Ps mm Washing dtslms. Also occaslonally he washed the gaol. keys of which he look impressions and duplicated 1n the prison workshops. The prisoner shared the keys with fellow prisoners averaging {our to eight in number. who spent nights in dancing. visiting their homes and joy rlding in stolen curs.
