The death is announced of Ossip Gabrilowitsch, following a long illness. Ossip Gabrilowitsch, or Salomono\itch, is a well-known American concert pianist. He was born in St. Petersburg, Russia, in 1878, and studied music under Tolstoff and Rubensteln. He later studied in Vienna with Leschetizkv anil Navratil. lie married Clara Clemens, a daughter of Mark Twain, In 1900. He has made many tours of the United States since 1900, playing in recitals and with leading orchestras, and was conductor for many years of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.
