PRACTICAL JOKE PLAYED. Countless birthday greetings were received by The Duchess of York, who, after a very heavy round of public engagements, is looking forward to a holiday at Glamis Castle-, where she spent most of her happy girlhood. The Duchess knows the history and traditions of the ancient castle in minute detail, and once used her knowledge to play a practical joke. A short while before her marriage, when a party of Americans visited Glamis, she borrowed a maid's cap and apron and discharged the duties of guide so admirably that the visitors were delighted.
