WEDDINGS.

JEUNE—PICKETT. The marriage was solemnised In the Methodist Church, Morrlnsville, recently, the Rev. A. A. Bensley officiating, between Rita Frances, only daughter of Mr and Mrs F.A. Pickett, of Studholme Street, Morrlnsville, and Stanley Charles, only son of Mr and Mrs F. P. Jeune, of Gisborne. The church had been decorated by friends of the bride with spring blooms In tones of gold to match the frocks of the bridal party. Mrs J. Brook, of Auckland, played the wedding music. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a gown of magnolia craquelle satin, fashioned on Grecian lines. The corsage was finished with a cowled decolletage', held in place with a spray of gilded flowers and gold clasp, and the long pleated sleeves fitted over the wrists. The skirt fitted closely at the hipline and flared- to the’ hemline. Her veil of very old lace, was held tightly to the head with a wreath of orange blossom, and flowed to form a long graceful train. She carried a sheaf of lilies of the valley. The bridesmaids were Miss Biddy Bentley, of Hamilton, and Miss Joan Bell, of Tauranga (cousin of the bride). They wore similar frocks of honey-gold mousse satin, cut. on classical lines, with shirred panels in the fully-trained skirts. The bodices were finished with revered lapels and full inset, sleeves. They wore halos of frangipani to tone with their frocks and carried bouquets of daffodils and primroses. Mr S. Vincent, of Gisborne, was best man, and Mr F. Pickett (brother of the bride), was groomsman. Messrs R. and S. Pickett (brothers of the bride), were ushers. A large number of guests was entertained at the' reception and dance held in the Masonic Hall. The guests were received by Mrs Pickett, who was wearing a frock of marsh brown tucked Chantilly lace and georgette over satin, with hat of natural Leghorn straw, with marigold and niggerbrown flower sprays. She carried a posy in autumn tints. The bridegroom’s mother, wore an ensemble of deep blue floral boucle crepe, navy stitched taffeta hat. and carried a posy of violets and ranunculi to tone'. Mr and Mrs S. C. Jeune later left on a motor tour, the bride wearing a suite of copper-rust worsted, with Pegg Vane toque of stitched taffeta and eye veil, and shoulder furs ot mink. q'lie'y will make their home at Puketaha. CLARK—EDWARDS. The marriage was solemnised al St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, Morrinsville. on Wednesday, belwecn Winifred. eldest, daughter -if Mr and Mrs H. Edwards, of Tauhei, Murriiisville,

and formerly of Te' Poi and Cambridge, and Allan, son of Mr and Mrs G. A. Clark, of Hamilton Road Cambridge. . Archdeacon 'Gillespie performed the ceremony and Mrs Gillespie played the wedding music. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a gown of white Chantilly lace over white satin, made on slim-fitting lines with a slight train. Her veil, which had been previously worn by her mother, was held in place with a coronet of orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of roses, sweet peas and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaid was Miss Margaret Edwards (sister of the' bride), whose frock was of coral pink lace trimmed with silk net frills. She wore a wreath of flowers and carried a shower bonquet of pink sweet peas, roses, cyclamen and maidenhair fern. Mr K. Clark (cousin of the bridegroom), was best man. As the bride left the 'church she I was presented with a silver horse- ! shoe by her niece, little Valerie | Edwards. After the ceremony a reception was ! held in the Blue Bird tea room, where the tables were decorated in pink and I white. On the bride’s table was a j three-tiered wedding cake which had I been iced and decorated by a very old j friend of the family, Mrs A. Hooper, iof Cambridge. The bride’s mother, ! who received the' guests, wore a frock of black silk marocain relieved with ! beige, black silk swagger coat, black straw hat, and carried a posy in autumn shades. Mrs Clark, mother of the bridegroom, wore a frock of nigger-brown marocain with hat to match, and carried a nosy in autumn shades. The guests included Mr and Mrs G. Clark, senr., Mr and Mrs ‘IT. Clark. Mr and -Airs W. Clark, Mr and Mrs R. Cox, Mr and Mrs A. Gane, Mr and Mrs 0. Gane. Mr and Mrs W. Morse, Mr and Mrs F. Glover. Air Peppercorn. Mr H. Tucker. Airs R. Rath. Atr and Airs W. Edwards and family. Air and Airs A. Hooper. When Air and Airs Allan Clark left for the honeymoon the bride travelled in a green tunic frock, green flecked tweed coat and hat to match.
