The project of an Empire train to tour Great Britain during the 'Coronntion year. as suggested by the Victorian Agent General (Mr Richard Linton), will be considered by a committee on which the High Commiealonera will be asked to nominate representatives. Mr Malcolm MacDonald, Secretary of State for the Dominions, has approved or the project. Earl Elgin, in presiding at a special meeting of Empire representatives, listed it. would be a gesture of loyalty to the King and an excellent means of educating England on the significance of the Empire it. is estimated that the (test for a aix-montlis' tour by a ten-vehicle train would be £87,000.
