RUGBY FOOTBALL

HAMILTON DISTRICT. TECHNICAL AND OLD BOYS MEET. , TO-MORROW’S GAMES. Particular interest will be attached to the meeting of Old Boys and Tech- . nical Old Boys at Rugby Park tomorrow on No. 1 ground. The former, • who have not yet suffered a defeat , this season will be hard' put to it to maintain their unbroken record as they will be without the service's of four of their best players who are on tour with the Waikato team. Technical have only one player away with the Waikato team and are four points behind the leaders. Should Technical defeat Old Boys to-morrow there would still be a chanoe of the leaders being overtaken, consequently the match to-morrow will be followed with interest by the public. The game on No. 2 ground between Rovers and Prankton should be a fairly e'ven contest though Rovers have been the more consistent team tills season. Frankton had an easy win over Taupiri East last week, ‘ while Rovers defeated 1 Marist by 7 points at Te Awamutu. Marist will again travel to Te Awamutu to meet Te Awamutu and unless they can muster a stronger team they will have' difficulty in defeating the Te A-wamulu team. Marist last Saturday were defeated by Rovers, but they played several juniors and were' without the two men who are with the Waikato team. The other game away from Hamilton will be'between the two Taupiri teams. The East team is three points ahead of the West team at present, but they are evenly matched and on the form shown by Taupiri West in the last two games there should not be much betwe'en them tomorrow.
