The Hon. “2 Orinsby-Gore (Colonial Secretary; stated in the House of Commons that he hoped to announce the personnel of the Palestine Commission and the terms of reference on \\‘ed—nesday. The Commission obviously could not so to Palestine, where the position. he said. was still serious. until sufficient order had been restored to enable it to make an investigation. In replying to another question, the Minister referred to a suggestion that there should be a temporary suspension of immigration] while the Commission carries out its enquiry, and said he was not at present in a position to make any statement as to the intentions of the Government beyond sayingr that their decision would be taken in due course on the merits of the case, and it would not be influenced by violence, or attempts at intimidation. —_
