LIFE-SAVING CLUB.
BOX LINES ON RIVER. DONATION BY COUNCIL. It was reported at (lie fortnightly meeting of tho Hamilton Borough Council last evening that the special committee set. up to meet, a deputation from the Hamilton Life Saving Club had received the deputation, which asked for financial assistance to purchase six box lines to he placed on the Hiver 'bank for life-saving purposes. • It was decided to grant the club £3O for expenditure in this connection. Hn> box lines to he placed along the hank at points agreed upon between tho club and ttie borough inspector, Mr J. W. Lewis.
