Recnntly In Auckland at a meeting of rmwhorse owners, breeders and trnlnm's it was decided to form an‘ Auckland branch or a Dominion or-‘ mnlsnllnn rm the lines o! the Trottlnfi] Owners' and Breeders' Assorlaton. The‘ mneting was largely attended and the \\'nlkntn new .\EU represente". ‘ The anPct of the Association is to work amicably with the Racing Conferenr'e and racing clubs for th:: benefit or the sport. It. will provide a means to approach the Railway De—partment In regard to the transport ofl horses. \vhlle one of the chief aims wlll be to seek a reasonable reduction In taxatlnn “hen the time is apportune‘ Condltlons which will further pnpularlse the sport will be aimed at by the .\ssoclatlon and as better con—dltlons have to be offered nwners and trainers It Is essentlal that they should ornnlse.
