DIVERGENOE IN CLAIMS. PROTEST BY TILERS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTOX. Monday. The Wellington plasterers‘ dispute was before the conciliation Council to-iia)‘. The employers are seeking a 411hour week and the employees 110 (no Saturday work). The employers offered 25 1d per hour; the worker‘s sought 3s 241, or £6 65 8d weekly. The representative of the tilers and slab titers protested against'a clause in the \\'orkers‘ proposals classifying slab-tiling and wall and floor tiling as plasterers' work. saying that this would mean the tiling trade becomlng obsolete. There were enough titers In \\‘ollington to form their own union.
