Questioned concerning Herr Brun—dahl's hint at Auckland regarding an Australian-New Zealand airship service a high official 01' the Zeppelin Company states that this was his first intimation of the matter. He adds that such a plan will only be practic—able in the for distant future, because Germany does not possess the necessary airships. Moreover if one were ordered there is not at present, the means of building it because the work—shops are fully engaged in the con—struction of LZiBO for the North or South Atlantic route. Nothing is knovm of the possibility of an airship flying to Sydney on that city‘s 150th. anniversary.

The, possibility of a German company inaugurating an airship service between Australia and New Zealand was mentioned by Herr Bx‘undahl. the Leipzig Trade Commissioner in an in—tervlew in Auckland.

He has been asked to investigate the project for a line of airships which each carry 40 passengers and would cross the Tasman in 18 hours. On his return to Sydney he intended to take up the question with the Common—wealth and New Zealand Governments. It is possible one of Germany's. latest airships will fly to Sydney on the oc—casion of the city's 150th. anniversary. .
