SPORTSMAN OF THE WEEK.
Perhaps one of the Waikato’s most versatile sportsmen Is Alby Llssette of crloket and rugby fame. For several years now he has been the opening batsman for the Hamilton Club, the Hamilton representative and the South Auckland representative teams and, besides being one of the outstanding fieldsmen In all teams, is perhaps the steadiest bowler. His record In club matches Is good but does not compare with his representative average. It Is In the bigger cricket that he has played his best innings and he has never been known to fall In these fixtures. He captained the Hamilton Club last year. At the Rugby game he has also been outstanding both at full bank and centre-threequarter. He has led the Old Boys senior football team for two seasons and, certain proof of his wonderful popularity and a tribute to his tfklll, was his eleotlon to the captaincy for Waikato against Auckland last week. Besides his adeptness at these two sports Albert wields a formidable tennis racquet.
