CROQUET CLUB.

TE AWAIVIUTU ACTIVITIES. . i ANNUAL MEETING HELD. (Times' Representative). TE AW’AMUTU, Friday. The activities of the 1935—36 sea—son were reviewed at the annual meet—ing of the Te Awomutu Croquet Club this week, when Mrs G. 0. Jourda‘in presided over a large attendance. In her annual report .\lrs Jourdaln commented on the loss the club had sustained in the departure from the district of Mrs H. Y. Collins, the former secretary and treasurer. Mrs Collins had been treasurer practically since the inception of the club and her departure would be keenly felt by the members. The club competitions had been won as follows: Collins Cup. Mrs MoArthur; handicap doubles. Mesdames Pascoe and Angus.

Officers for the ensuing year were elec-ted as follows: Patroness, Mrs Downes: president, Mrs \V. H. Davis: vice—presidents. Mesdames H. C. Rainey, Noonan and Goodall; secretary and treasurer, Mrs F. W. Bevin; as—sistant. secretary. Mrs G. Paul; committee. Mesdames Jourdain. Dowds. McArthur. Chunn, Burchell, Pescoe and Penrt: club-captain. Mrs Peart; vice—captain. Mrs Chunn: green superintendent, Mrs Nobes: tea superintend—ent, Mrs E. N. Pascoe; social commit—tee, Mesdames Young, Angus, Ryan, Nicholson and Clark.
