The Sunday School Section

OF INTEREST TO ALL SUNDAY SCHOOL WORKERS.

Superintendents: Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Pearson. A Shield is presented by the Sunday Schools’ Committee to the Sunday School obtaining the highest aggregate points in all Classes. The Shield is to be competed for annually at the Waikato Winter Show and can be held by the winning Sunday School until the end of the year. Present holder: St. Paul’s Methodist Sunday School, Hamilton. Superintendents and the undermentioned Stewards will be glad to give any information required as to this Section:— Mrs. Church, Mr. R. P. Kilham (Hamilton), Mr. J. Wedding (Auckland), Secretary, or other members of Sunday School Committee. A display of all classes of Sunday School requisites will be arranged. A GREAT OPPORTUNITY. Ministers, Superintendents and Teachers are requested to bring this matter to the attention of their people. It is hoped that this section will be well supported. IMPORTANT: HOW AND WHEN TO SEND EXHIBITS. Written entries must be forwarded to reach the Office one week before the Opening Day. Other entries must reach the Office by midday Saturday before the Opening Day. Entries must be to stated sizes. Indicate on back of exhibits, Class Number, Section, Name of Exhibitor, and Name and Denomination of the Sunday School. The address of the Sunday School Secretary or Exhibitor must also be given. Address all exhibits to:— SUNDAY SCHOOL SECTION, C/o Secretary, Waikato Winter Show Assn., Hamilton. ENTRY FEE 6d. Exhibit space will be assigned by the Superintendent. First prize, 7/6; second, 5/-. The Sunday School Committee reserves the right to award a third prize of 1/6 where merited by large entries or good work. Entries close Saturday, May 2nd, 1936. PRIMARY SECTION (8 years and under). Please state name of School. 211— Collection of Mission Station or other similar photos (not more than six). 212 Any exhibit of special help to Sunday School work not classed elsewhere, may at the discretion of the Sunday School Committee be awarded a special prize. Points awarded in this class not to count as Shield Points. 213 Best Sand Tray (with legs), suitable Sunday School Primary work. Size 24in. x 30in. Open to all Sunday Schools or , individuals. Exhibits to be ready for judging’by 8 o’clock night before opening of Show. NOTE: All written papers to become the property of the Committee if so desired including copyrights of same or of any poster of special merit. This section is open to all Sunday Schools of the Dominion. Entries close Saturday, May 2nd, 1936. SHOW DATES, Tuesday May 26th, to Wednesday June 3rd.
