Soloist Has Good Prospects NO FOOLING WELL Has Been Schooling Impressively Withal the class ot Jumper engaged in the Frankton Hurdles is not strong and the top-weight Soloist, on paper, should hold the majority ot the Held sate despite his solid poundage. He is a polished jumper and won on the first day of the -Stratford meeting with the steadier of 11-2 so -on that showing should be difficult to beat to-mor-Tudor is another splendid jumper and while 'lie has run unplaced in his two -starts this season he is susceptible to improvement. Golden England, if right on the day, will be a strong

possibility while The Hiker will be all the better for the race—his first this season. At the Thames meeting Moss Vale impressed 'by the quality of his jumping. He ran second on the last day at Thames after beginning badly and if lie can reproduce that form tomorrow he should be in the firing line at the end. Sweet Lap and Valorous are two local hurdlers the latter appealing as the better of the pair. He ran a good race at Matamata until his condition gave out. lie has been schooling particularly well at headquarters over i the past several weeks and if properly attuned for the meeting may run into the money. Curlew is the makings of a good jumper but lack of experience may tell against him. Nothing has been schooling more Impressively at To Rapa than the maiden jumper, No Fooling, and special interest from these parts will attach to his exhibition here. Lack of racing experience may tell against him on • the day but at the weights he should prove the most diltlcult to dispose of.
