Sleeman, Overseas Commissioner for the St. John Ambulance Brigade, speaking at a reception tendered him in Hamilton yesterday. Every year t tie brigade saves the lives of over 7UO people and attends to the Injuries of half a million. In this record New Zealand stands very high. As Chief Commissioner for tiie brigade overseas 1 know the Auckland centre sets a high example and is one of the outstanding headquarters, if not the liest, in the Empire,” be concluded.
