TRAGEDY FEARED.
WANGANUI BOATMEN. WANGANUI, Thursday. John Wharemate, aged 42. married, with three children, and a half-caste | named Williams, married, with eight children, both residents of Castle- . cliffe, are supposed to have been the ; victims of a drowning tragedy. They j went in a flat-bottomed boat to row from Putiki to Castlecliffe. The boat j has been found upside down, but there is no trace of the occupants.
