SALE AT MORRINBVILLE. LARGE ENTRY OF SHEEP. (Times Special Reporter.) MORRINSVILLE, Friday. With a total entry of 15,000 sheep, together with an exceptionally large draft of store cattle, the weekly Morrinsville stock sale to-day was markel by unusual activity, a large bench of buyers offered brisk competition and the. market was firm lor the majority of classes. Less interest was shown in the beef section, buyers being offered little scope in Hie yarding, which comprised mainly dairy sorts. Little variation was recorded and prices current last week were generally maintained. Fat, sheep were on offer in average numbers, few wethers coming forward, and buyers having to satisfy their requirements from the ewe pens. Fat ewes were not keenly sought but realised last Friday’s lowered values. Lambs were again Arm at the beginning of the sale. Store lambs were buoyant, meeting the market at prices ranging to 17s 6d. Store ewes also commanded attention at fully late rates. In the early stage of the sale Cat pigs were again ready of sale, barollers selling under animated demand to 635.
