ROTORUA TOURNEY. BECTION PLAY CONCLUDED. WAIKATO PLAYERS ELIMINATED. ROTORUA, Thursday. Unseasonable weather again made conditions unpleasant for the continuation of the Rotorua Bowling Club's open pairs tournament to-day, but section play was concluded late in the afternoon, and if the weather permits the tournament should be finished tomorrow afternoon. Eight wins in the sections were necessary to qualify for post-section play to-morrow morning, the qualifying rinks being Henderson (Higginbotham), last year’s winner and Onehunga (Livingstone), who secured nine wins and one loss, and Auckland (Walker), Auckland (Keys), Rotorua (Budd), Auckland Transport (Taplin), West End (Needham) and PonsonDy (Graham, each with eight »wins and two losses.
