SWIMMING CLUB DANCE.
PUKEMIRO—GLEN AFTON. Tb°. Pukemiro—Glen Afton Swimming Club held their annual dance on Friday to raise funds to repair the recent storm damage to the bath. The large number of visitors from Huntly, Waingaro and Ngaruawahia enjoyed the evening. A whist drive was held In conjunction with the dance. A competition was held, the winner being Vincent Dunn. Novelty dances were won by Miss Joan Thomas and Mr C. Clark, Miss J. Barr and Mr Alf. Mitchell, Miss Joan Thomas and Mr F. Harlott. The winners of whist were Mrs Hillier and Mrs Robinson: consolation. Mrs Glendenning and Mr Wilson. Mr T. Kerr and Mr Geo. Robinson were M’s.C. WHI9T DRIVE. The weekly whist drive under the auspices of the Pukemiro Anglican Ladies’ Guild was won by Mr T. Kerr and Mrs Fleming and consolation, Mr A. Robinson.
